Looking on Google's Streetview i found that the big building to the right is still there, its the New Cross Fire Station, but all the houses on the left are gone.

Since u show the Fire Station - reminds me - every time I walk past it I marvel at what a wonderful Victorian structure it is with tall turret and other decorative detail. The turret is not visable unless the googlemap is manipulated further to view fire station from another aspect.

Houses gone...

You can see the location on Google maps using the address 266 Queen's Rd, Lewisham, London SE14 5JN
Since it is so far along Queen's Road it is actually in the New Cross Gate area, so i have moved the photo there.
