Bellenden Residents' Group (BRG)

Boundary map

The BRG is a community group run by local residents. The aim is to develop a network of people in the neighbourhood who can communicate easily on matters of mutual local interest. The area covered is the Rye Lane West neighbourhood, incorporating the Bellenden neighbourhood: see the map. This is the SE15 area west of Rye Lane, south of Peckham High Street and Peckham Road, and runs up to the SE5 and SE22 borders, and overlaps with the south west part of Peckham town centre. See the map for the streets covered. Click here to see the BRG pages.

The main focus is around Planning and traffic issues:

  • effect on this neighbourhood of the Peckham & Nunhead Area Action Plan (PNAAP), and the development of our own neighbourhood profile through the Neighbourhood Pictures project on this website
  • individual Planning or Licensing applications which affect the neighbourhood.
  • planning policy developments that affect this neighbourhood and the adjacent Peckham town centre; more information on these can be found also on www.peckhamvision.org
  • traffic issues arising from the flow of traffic north and south through the neighbourhood.

Other developing topics include local traffic issues, and a collection of pictures, material and comments about the history of this neighbourhood.
